Oracle Integration Cloud Review: Overview Of Main Features

This is my Oracle Integration Cloud Review.

The Oracle Integration Cloud service consists of a suite of programs. Businesses can use it to build and integrate features for a website and mobile app.

I needed these tools to integrate prebuilt elements on my website and get precious insights. This also allowed me to give each member of the team access to the necessary data to work.

I found Oracle Integration Cloud easy to use, which exceeded my expectations as someone with limited coding knowledge. The data regarding my business were crucial, and it was surprisingly detailed. It gave me insight into things I didn’t consider before using Oracle’s system. 

The best feature I was able to use was the app builder. If you’ve ever tried to contact a professional to make an app for your business, you know this can be an expensive and painfully long process. However, since I had all the visual assets on hand, I was able to create a functioning app without having to learn to code or pay for a developer.

Oracle Integration Cloud offers services to simplify web integration and app development and can even be used to overhaul an existing site. Thanks to the Oracle Integration cloud services, it also facilitates teamwork with access to the functionalities and data for all members of your business.

You can create a cloud for free, and you’ll have access to a few features. To know what it will cost you, you can use its cost estimator, which will give you a monthly cost depending on what you add. If you’re undecided, you can try the Oracle Cloud Free Tier; it offers a free trial without limits on Autonomous Database, Compute, and Storage services. You’ll also get $300 in free credits to test additional services.

I first started with the free version because I wanted to see if it offered all I needed. I was pleased to discover it regrouped services I would usually have to pay several other companies to get everything running. The second benefit to that is the fact that all these services are centralized and connected. I was able to link my Oracle integrated cloud to third parties solutions I was already using, so there was no need to start from scratch.

Oracle Cloud Integration Services And Main Features

This cloud offers so many services. I can’t just list them all. So, I will focus on the features that I found the most beneficial for most businesses.

Prebuilt connectivity and on-premise applications

Oracle Integration services include prebuilt connectivity between Software as a Service (SaaS) third-parties and Oracle’s on-premise applications, which allows you to link any pre-existing services you may have used with other companies and keep using them. This is essential not to disrupt the flow of your business. If you feel you want to migrate those services to Oracle’s tools, you can do it progressively.

Data Storage

As a business, you’ll need to store data to share it, have access to it anywhere, or just for safe-keeping purposes. Oracle’s customizable cloud allows you and your team to store files in their native formats without having to compress them. This is life-changing because you can access those files without wasting time and immediately identify what you need. The data stored are also analytics created by machine learning by Oracle, and you can integrate this data into your infrastructure.

Data Integrator

If you already have a database from another service provider, you’ll be able to migrate it to your Oracle Cloud in bulk or stream it if you intend to keep the third-party service running. This guarantees that you won’t have to interrupt your service, especially if it depends on this database being available. Oracle supports the import of data from most third-parties like Slack or Amazon and can still integrate the data for the rest in a raw format.

Web And App Builder

The app builder comes with a drag-and-drop feature to create your platform. Everything is made to offer a visual application you can use to develop websites and mobile applications. This service provides simple tools you can use even without being a hardened developer with years of coding experience. Oracle also offers Automation templates to make this process even more accessible, and you can customize these templates to suit your business.

In addition, The BM and VM Compute features provide you with an environment to run your application. With these tools, you can create an app with all the processing power you need coming from the cloud. So you’re guaranteed to work with optimal settings. You can even predict how it will work when it goes live. 

Management And Monitoring Tools

If you need to manage a team, Oracle Integration Cloud will give you analytics and monitoring tools. By using machine learning, the cloud can provide you with data on the usage of your infrastructure and will offer troubleshooting solutions to resolve issues faster. Machine learning works on the back-end of your site but can also be used to see how your customer interacts with your service. 

You can include customized alerts and messages from Oracle with systems like Slack, for example. The machine-learning analytics also extend to historical and SQL data to help the administrator optimize resource use and improve performance. Again, all of those services being managed in the cloud allow for a unified command center where the administrator can monitor everything in real-time, which helps you make faster decisions.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) are at the heart of Oracle’s service. This feature can use it to help you manage your team as previously described, but you can also implement AI-driven features to the services you intend to offer. AI implementation is simplified for developers so they can communicate with the data engineers and operators and collaborate. Machine learning is used in most of its integrated cloud, and the goal is to tailor the system to the people interacting with it, whether it’s the company itself or the customers. This can save a lot of time, energy, and money for companies, who would otherwise have to perform these tasks manually.

Let me look at some alternatives to the Oracle Integration Cloud service.

Microsoft Azure

Azure is the leading contender to Oracle Integration Cloud services and will also offer machine learning-based solutions for analytics. You’ll find similar services for API management and developer tools to create sites and apps. However, since it’s a Windows service, these apps will all be scripted in Java. Choosing this over Oracle depends on the language you want to use to create your app.

Salesforce

Since Salesforce was created for businesses that need to sell a product, the infrastructure offered is aimed towards engagement and analytics of sales data. Of course, it offers many services, but it is less versatile than a general system like Oracle Cloud integration or Azure. This service will be adapted to you if your business operates in financial services, consumer goods, manufacturing, and health services.

Boomi

Boomi has been proposing cloud solutions for businesses for over eight years. It helps companies in marketing, health, IT, sales, human resources, and support. One of its strengths is the ability to connect the Boomi service with any application. However, for some apps, its service uses Oracle’s Netsuite. It can be a good choice if you need to learn how to use cloud services since it offers training courses in all sectors related to the use of its service.

Oracle Integration Cloud: Worth It?

If your business needs an all-in-one solution that can integrate your already existing third-party services, Oracle Integration Cloud will provide a complete range of features. The fact that you can tailor your cloud and can add more features later is a great advantage over the competition. 

Some similar services even use their resources to provide a cloud environment, which proves the quality of the products offered. 

If you have a small business, it’s also a good idea to start with a service like this because you can select a few features and get more when your business starts growing and your cloud needs change.
