This is my S’More app review.
I’ve been testing and reviewing apps for the last few years. When I hear about applications that offer a function and reward users for using them, I become intrigued.
After using S’More, I found it to be a reliable rewards app that doesn’t interfere too much with the lock screen functions of the phone. Yet, I found the rewards can be minimal at times.
I’ll review how the S’More application works, what rewards can be earned, how to get the most from the application, and whether it’s worth investing time into this rewards app. Keep reading to see if you should try S’More for Android.
If you are interested in testing out the app yourself, why not download the app?

iOS version: not available on iOS
S’More is a lock screen app for Android devices that places an ad on your screen when you unlock your phone. You can earn rewards by unlocking your screen and watching the ad. There’s no need to interact with the advertisement in any way. You can earn rewards just by unlocking your screen.
While busy with the S’More app review, I noted that many other lock screen rewards apps are available. This begged the question, what makes S’More different? Well, for one thing, S’More also offers other ways of earning rewards besides unlocking your screen.
Features of the App
One of the first steps that I took for my S’More app review is evaluating how easy it is to install and set up the application and how easy it is to use.
Installing and Setting up the App
Installing the app is simple. The S’More lock screen and rewards app is only available on Android devices. This application is not available for iOS, as Apple doesn’t allow its users to control the lock screen.
Once you install the app, you’ll be asked to insert your name, age, email address, and number. You can then verify your account via the email they send you. The first time you run the application, it’ll ask you to read and agree to the terms and conditions.
In my S’More app review, I found this installation and setup process to be easy and very much in line with what you get from most rewards apps. There was nothing overly complex or time-consuming with the setup process. However, when you open the application, you’re greeted with a few five-star reviews, which can irritate some.
Unlocking the Screen
Once the app is completely installed and set up, you’ll notice a few small changes to your home and lock screen. The lock screen works pretty much the same as any other lock screen, but you’ll see an ad. You don’t have to interact with the ad and can just swipe up to unlock your screen and use your phone as usual.
During this part of the S’More app review, I noted that the lock screen works quite decently. There’s a slight delay during the unlocking process, but nothing too serious. Also, the ad wasn’t too annoying and didn’t get into my way too much.
Earning Rewards with the app
The S’More application allows you to gain rewards in a few different ways. You earn points through the app, and each point is equal to one cent.
Interacting With Your Locked Screen
You earn rewards just for having the lock screen app installed on your device. However, users should note that you don’t earn every time that you unlock. Instead, you only earn 10 cents per day for having the application active on your device.
From the S’More app, you can also access the survey section to earn more rewards. Currently, the surveys are brought to you by Peanut Labs and Pollfish. Peanut Labs can be a slower and slightly buggy survey platform to use. But if you’re patient and have the time, these can be easy points from surveys.
The S’More application also offers rewards for completing certain offers. These can vary from installing certain apps to participating in specific trials. The number of points awarded also varies according to what offer you choose. While the S’More app is free to use, and most offers are free to participate in, some may require a purchase.
You can also earn rewards by watching videos through the S’More application. These video ads are usually about 30 seconds long. You’ll earn one point for every two ads that you watch.
In my S’More app review, I noted that there is a limited variety of videos to watch each day. Also, these videos cannot be minimized or maximized. It means you’ll need to keep the video open and watch the whole thing to earn your points.
You can also earn 25 points for each friend that you refer to S’More.
Where to Redeem Points?
You can redeem your points for gift cards. These items include gift cards for major retailers, restaurants, and movie theatres. Some of the brands include Amazon, Dominos, Starbucks, Google Play, and others.
How Much Can I Earn With S’More?
The earning potential will differ for everyone as it depends largely on how many people you can refer to, or surveys you can complete and how much time you spend watching videos. To summarise the earning potential let’s have a look at the list:
- Downloading the app: 50 points or $0.50
- Verifying your email address: 10 points or $0.10
- Lock screen feature: 10 points or $0.10 per day
- Completing a survey: Varies
- Watching two videos: 1 point or $0.01
- One referral: 75 points or $0.75
Some users reported making $18.00 in their first month, taking into account the referrals and bonuses for signing up. A realistic estimate of how much you could make per month would be between $5.00 – $10.00, however it could be more or less than this depending on how often you use the app.
If you’re looking for another reward app that is similar to S’More, here’s a list that I can recommend you try.
With MYTOZ, you can unlock your phone screen and watch ads to earn points. This app works everywhere in the world. You can redeem the rewards at their online store on a wide range of products. It’s good to note that you’ll have to pay for the shipping of your order.
With Slidejoy, you can earn real cash by simply unlocking your phone, not just gift cards. These ads are also tailor selected for you to ensure that you see products that you are interested in.
Pros and Cons
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the S’More app.
|Only available in the US
|Easy to use
|Lock screen function doesn’t interfere too much
|Don’t earn rewards every time you unlock the screen
|Ads aren’t too irritating
Final Verdict of My S’More App Review
In this S’More app review, I found that the app is a legitimate way to earn rewards on your Android device if you’re located in the USA. The rewards you earn are reliable but low. If you’re thinking of using the app as a side hustle, this one would probably not be your best bet.
However, if you’re patient and only want to redeem the points for a cup of coffee or pizza every now and again, then this could work for you. If you want to try the app for yourself, you can download it from the Play Store.
